"Mirror" by Syliva Plath
I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.
Whatever I see I swallow immediately
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike.
I am not cruel, only truthful-
The eye of the little god, four cornered.
Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall.
It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long
I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers.
Faces and darkness separate us over and over.
Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me,
Searching my reaches for what she really is.
Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon.
I see her back, and reflect it faithfully.
She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands.
I am important to her. She comes and goes.
Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness.
In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman
Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish.
I am curious why she compares the woman to a fish in the last line. Any thoughts?

Paul McCartney's music
I cannot understand how people don't listen more to Paul McCartney's music! I have been on a serious kick of listening to his music lately. His tunes are catchy, full of hope, span and toy with numerous genres, and contain, soul, passion, energy, and the poetic unconscious. His lyrics are catchy, and for the most part quite decent and appropriate. They speak of hope, love, and imagination.
Songs of his I currently dig on in a very serious way: "No More Lonely Nights," "My Love," "Junk," "The Long and Winding Road," Footprints," "Listen to What the Man Said," "For No One," "Day Time Night Time Suffering," "Ballroom Dancing," "Wanderlust," "Every Night," Heaven on a Sunday," "Tug of War," "Take It Away," .... and now I trickle off, but there are many more.
YouTube his stuff. Get an earful of joy!
